For the first time, the College Football Playoff will feature 12 teams instead of four like it has in the past. This gives more FBS<\/a> teams an opportunity to compete for a national championship in the postseason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s early, but fans of any team that has a legitimate chance of making the CFP are also keeping an eye on some other top-tier programs as the season goes on. Any significant loss, like Notre Dame falling against Northern Illinois, will significantly impact the postseason picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

College Playoff Rankings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee has yet to release any rankings and will do so for the first time on Tuesday, Nov. 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
